Stanley, this is the translation of your message....I suppose it means we could have a flying day on the 31/1 or 7/2 ??

regards, Steve

" From male " Is words " From palace " Clear, if " From male " Was the words from turned father-in-law's words, might use mutually already! On February 7 is quite close celebrates the new year, ask that has 冇 the human to have the question? On January 31 possibly good D, but by your decision, the foot 夠 population's words will go to the horse! This I do not want to be the initiator and CD, because I always should for best with the international convention, A spot in descends that side the position! You have 冇 the human to leave Lebanon to make the direction? Clarifies first, does not have baa several, zhong must leave buries the crude fruit prize!

Hi Steve,

Well, I understand it would be very difficult for non-Chinese speaker like you to read text through a translator!

Definitely, the translated text in English is meaningless!
OK, there are a few problems if our text is translated using the on-line translator.
First, we usually write our Chinese text using Cantonese dialect which is quite big different with the official Mandarin Chinese and the translator assume the text is written in Mandarin.
Second, the text I wrote is referred to some funny characters from a famous Kung Fu novel and obviously, you have no way to understand this.
OK, let me translate the text into proper English, and you probably understand it.

"自公" 係唔係話 "自宮"
is translated to:
"To claim yourself to be a eunuch" is not meaning "to be self-castrated”

This is in response to a fellow pilot who said that 要練神功
先要自公" i.e.,"to practice Kung Fu with high esteem, you need to claim yourself to be a eunuch first", so I correct his wording to “to practice Kung Fu with high esteem, you need to castrate yourself first"

The meaning behind this wording is based on a Chinese thinking that in order to be good in Kung Fu (here we equal Kung Fu to F3F), you need to castrate yourself first so that no women can fool around you!

明白,如果 "自公" 係話自已變成公公的話,都可以互用既!
The meaning of this sentence is
Understood! If "to claim yourself be a eunuch" means to castrate yourself and become a eunuch, then they have the same meaning!

The translation of the following text is

Feb 7 is close to the Chinese new year, I would like to ask if fellow pilots have free time to join the contest, Jan 31 may be a better choice. Anyway, it is your choice. If we have enough participants, we can go ahead to run the contest.

This time I don't want to be the organizer or the CD, because I insist that we should set Base A on the landing side according to international convention (which you guys may not be happy with this)

Can anyone come out to take the leadership? Remind you that, according to our tradition, CD needs to sponsor some fruit as prizes for the winners.

Anyway, in this thread, we are discussing to organize an informal F3F race either on Jan 31 or Feb 7, so Steve, make your choice if you can come in any one of these two days.

Hi Steve,

See this: http://www.hkrcss.org/F3FGroup/HK_F3F_P ... mmary.html

Stanley has 23 gold medals so far. The 2nd place Ah Mak has only 11 which is less than half of Stanley has. Stanley is also the two times League Champion.

So you can see, Stanley really stands out in the group. It is very un-natural for we all started F3F at about the same time.

I suspect that Stanley has self-castrated

I believe C.M. is actually the guy who practices this custom secretly.....but somehow he did it in an extreme way that drove him mad, what we call "走火入魔" (don't know how to proper translate this!}, that is why he can sometimes perform really good but sometimes very lousy!

Anyway, has CD made up the mind which date to hold the informal race yet?

Stanley, the picture is for you  What I mean is you won so many F3F and it is no doubt you're "武功天下第一" (same as "東方不敗"). If you win the F3F league AGAIN then I will consider putting "東方不敗" instead of "Champion" on the trophy.
