Sorry, I don't have the techniques to DIY this plane. I mail ordered this from a model shop in China. Total cost plus shipping around HK$380 (it comes with a 550motor and a smaller folding prop). The spinner is definitly too large and I will change it later. The fuselage is fibreglass and HenryChan help me to lay Carbon Cloth inside. The wing is balsa with film covering. |

It hasn't been finished yet as I have no ideas how to install the elevator servo - there is no hole or pre-installed mount for the servo at the tail. I am actually getting sick of building a plane, just want to fly. |

Hi Wingdragon Can you give me the details of the shop in China that you ordered this plane from? Have you flown it and how it handling in the air? The same look like a typical f5b and the covering from your picture looks very good. How is the wing constructed? Thanks! |

This one is cheap in price, below $400 (shipping included). I need to search the site back as I ordered it a while ago. My plane is still in the store room now. The finishing is OK but not strong enough to qualify for a F5B. Thw wing is very thin (approx. 15mm at it's thickest part) and made of wooden frame and wood panel covering. Fuseage is fibreglass. |

By the way, I found other supplier in China carry F5B fully molded. But the price is too high around 1800. |

For HKG400, I can live with the balsa wing. Though it look like F5B shape, truly it won't withstand the beating but for $400 and nice shape with thin airfoil, its a good compromise. Appreciate it if you can find the shop details. |
